Gymnastics Newfoundland & Labrador (G.N.L.) was established in 1968 as a volunteer directed amateur sport organization (it was incorporated in 1991). It is affiliated with Gymnastics Canada Gymnastique (GCG), the Canadian Rhythmic Sportive Gymnastics Federation (CRSGF) and the Atlantic Union Gymnastics Association (AUGA). Gymnastics Canada and the Rhythmic Sportive Gymnastics Federation recognizes G.N.L. as being responsible for the development and coordination of gymnastic activities in the province. G.N.L. acts as the governing body for the sports of ARTISTIC Gymnastics, RHYTHMIC SPORTIVE Gymnastics, POWER TUMBLING and TRAMPOLINE in the Province of Newfoundland & Labrador. G.N.L. offers a variety of Programs and Services which benefit its more than 3000 participants. More than 30 groups throughout the province are affiliated with G.N.L. in both urban and rural areas.

G.N.L runs Coaching Certification Clinics, the Artistic CAN GYM and Rhythmic Sportive PRE-SPECTRA and SPECTRA badge programs. It also sanctions Provincial Competitions for all levels and disciplines, and is responsible for sending Newfoundland and Labrador gymnasts to Atlantic and National competitions..
